Dear Poirier Families,

This week we were treated to two great shows. We watched a spectacular demonstration of jump rope skills presented by our very own Poirier Jump Rope Club as well as Victoria’s Velocity Jump Rope Team. Sooke’s Revolution Dance Collective dancers gave us an energetic and amazing show on Tuesday (many of the dancers were Black Bears past and present). Thank you very much. Today we learned about Elders and this weekend our Black Bears are going to try to thank an Elder in their family for sharing their love.

• Congratulations to all the cross country runners who completed another successful run on April 11th. Way to go runners! Thanks for cheering them on and being an wonderful family community!
• We have early dismissal on Thursday, April 18th. Home time is at 11:40 and buses will run at this time. All of our teachers will be reaching out to let families know about touching base for informal and shared learning times. 
• Congratulations to the members of Readasaurus Rex Chapter Two, Addie, Alexis, Linnaea, Olivia, Zen, and Zenna, for winning round 2 of the Reading Link Challenge! Readasaurus Rex will now be moving on to the finals to compete against teams from across Vancouver Island. Good luck Readasaurus Rex!

Get ready to groove and celebrate our amazing planet at the Earth Week Dance Extravaganza!

We need 6 parent volunteers to help, please contact pacecolepoirier@gmail.com if you can assist our wonderful PAC executive team at this event, we can’t do it without you!

📅 Date & Time: Friday April 26, 6 pm to 8 pm

👗 Dress up optional: Show off your creativity by coming dressed in costumes made from recycled materials found around your house!

🌟 Prizes will be awarded to the most imaginative and eco-friendly outfits!

💰 Door Donations: Help us raise funds for our monkey bars by contributing to our bear fund donation box. Every bit counts towards creating a better playground for our kids! 🐻💚

🍿 Light concessions snacks will be available for purchase to keep you energized throughout the night.

👩‍👧‍👦 Parents/Guardians are required to accompany their children for this exciting event.

🎶 Don’t miss out on an unforgettable night of fun, music, and eco-friendly excitement! Let’s dance our way towards a greener future together!🌿
