The Student Learning Survey

The Satisfaction Survey is an annual province-wide census of Grades 4, 7, 10 and 12 students, their parents and staff in public schools. The questions were developed with input from partner groups, teachers and experts in educational measurement and special education.

It usually takes about 30 minutes to complete the required survey questions – it may take longer depending on the number of questions added by schools and districts.

Surveys are to be completed by parents with children in Grades 4, 7, 10, and 12. A parent may complete a survey for

each child in the targeted grades.  Please contact Terri in the office and she will give you a unique login for the website below.  The deadline to complete the survey is May 3rd.

Poirier will be celebrating Music Monday 2019 with a special assembly in the gym at 9:15 am on May 6th. Please arrive early to enjoy Division 4 – Mme Dailey’s class – as they will be performing on ukuleles before the assembly begins, starting at 9am as the gym is being loaded.  Parents and family members are welcome to attend.  Several divisions will be sharing musical performances, along with the members of the Spring Choir who sang during our January – March season (those students who rehearsed for the Sing Out in early March). Special musical guests will also be JOINing IN!  In the afternoon, our Music Monday choir will be taking their annual walking trip to the centre of Sooke to sing in front of Evergreen Mall with Gord Phillips, and to entertain at various businesses and shops throughout the village.  If your child is currently in choir, a permission form has been sent home this week.  Please contact Mme Arts at the school with any questions.

The following divisions/groups will be performing at the Music Monday Assembly:

Div. 1 – Ms. Powers and Mrs. Bridal’s classes

Div. 2, 5, 7, and 10 – Mme Chalmers, Mme Gates, Mme Kelly, and M Weinstein’s classes

Div. 6 – Ms Lineham’s class

All members from the “Sing Out” Choir
