April 5th, 2019

Dear Panther Families,

Welcome back everyone! We hope you all had a great break and look forward to an exciting last term. A safety reminder to use extreme caution in our school parking lot, parking and walking your child up to the front of the school is a much safer option than having them jump out into the traffic.  We have had some close calls as of late and thought this may be a good time for you to chat with your child on always looking both ways before exiting a vehicle, as well as the importance of using the crosswalks.

April 5, 2019

Dear Parents,

We are having a special day on Thursday, April 11th when we do “Jump Rope for Heart” to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  On this day, all students will rotate through 8 stations in the morning doing fun jump rope activities that promote physical fitness and heart health!  Please make sure that your child comes to school wearing comfortable clothing and running shoes.

Your child should have already brought home an envelope to collect pledges for this event.  He/she can also collect pledges on-line by going to www.jumpropeforheart.ca and registering under our school name by clicking on “join this school”.  Please note that all pledges are due on the day of the event, April 11th.

In order for this day to be a success we are asking for parent volunteers to help out at the various stations, setting up the stations, passing out jump ropes, turning ropes, assisting and encouraging students, etc.  If you are able to offer your assistance please email me at rneilson@sd62.bc.ca or complete the form below and send it back to school with your child by Monday, April 8th.

Thank you,

Rebecca Neilson
